Privacy Policy

This policy describes the technical and personal information that may be handled when someone visits Loudon County Criminal History. It also explains why that data is used, which outside services may receive it, and what choices a visitor has. By continuing to use the website, a visitor accepts the practices stated in this policy.

Data You Give Us Directly

Search Queries

A name or place entered in a search tool is sent directly to the outside company that operates that tool. The provider processes the query and supplies any results. Loudon County Criminal History does not keep or log those search terms on its own systems.

Messages and Contact Submissions

An email sent to us may be retained long enough to review and answer it. Messages remain within the organization unless disclosure is required by a valid legal obligation.

Data We Gather Automatically

When a page loads, the server may receive routine technical information about the visit:

  • Page-view dates and times
  • The referring website, when one is available
  • Pages viewed and time spent on them
  • Device category and operating system
  • Browser type and version
  • The device's assigned IP address

Cookies and Analytics

Cookies are small files placed on a device. They help show broad patterns such as which pages receive traffic and where visits end. Analytics providers may combine that activity into reports. A browser can block or remove cookies, although doing so may change how some website functions behave.

What We Do With This Data

  • Routing a submitted search to the appropriate outside provider
  • Maintaining the website and its load performance
  • Finding and correcting technical faults
  • Measuring which resources visitors use
  • Displaying advertising that may reflect visitor interests

No Criminal-Record Data on File

Loudon County Criminal History does not build, maintain, or sell a database of personal criminal records. Its content identifies official access routes through Loudon County Sheriff Records, local court clerks, the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation, and the Tennessee Sex Offender Registry. Visitor information is not turned into a third-party record or consumer report. The website is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act.

Third-Party Search Partners

Outside companies power the search boxes. Their privacy terms, retention periods, and disclosure practices govern data submitted through a tool. This policy does not control those providers. Review the provider's terms before entering a query.

Links to Other Websites

Links may lead to a sheriff, court, state agency, legal resource, or third-party search service. Once a visitor follows an outbound link, the destination's privacy policy applies. Check that policy before sharing personal information.

Some advertising providers may measure activity across websites to select ads. Their systems conduct that tracking.

Who Might See Your Data

Personal data is not sold. Limited information may be available to:

  • Analytics companies that measure use and performance
  • Search providers that receive a submitted query
  • Advertising networks that place website ads
  • A government or law enforcement body acting under a valid legal order

How We Protect Your Data

Reasonable, standard safeguards are used for information collected by the website. No internet service can promise perfect security, so a breach cannot be ruled out.

Users Under 18

The website is intended for adults and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone younger than 18. If such information is identified, a deletion request may be made.

Your Data Rights

Rights may vary with a visitor's location and applicable law. The Tennessee Public Records Act, TCA §§10-7-503 et seq., governs access to covered government records, while TCA §§40-39-206 through 40-39-207 governs publication and termination rules for Tennessee registry data. Those laws do not turn this private website into a government records custodian. A visitor may still:

  • Request correction of inaccurate information held by us
  • Ask what personal information we retain about them
  • Seek deletion of retained personal data
  • Decline certain forms of processing where the law permits

Updates to This Policy

This policy may be revised. A changed version will be posted here with a new effective date, so visitors should review it from time to time.

Effective date: August 8, 2026
